Hallo,

mein gott ist es heute wieder früh :P

Naja, ich suche eine kleine box auf der entweder schon linux läuft oder ich noch linux drauf machen muss. Ich benötige so ne kleine box damit ich OpenVPN drauf laufen lassen kann.

Hab an sowas wie ein kleinen router gedacht und nein ich will keinen router nehmen.

Der Preis für die box sollte max bei 10-20 euro liegen.

€10-20?

Das langt mit Glück für nen gebrauchten Linux-fähigen Router.

Für knapp unter €50,- gibt's brauchbare Geräte in "neu" (WRT54GL, Asus WL-520, etc.). Das SIND allerdings Router :)

Klein, enegiesparend, lustig und kein Router ist z.B. ein SheevaPlug für um die €100,-.

Besonders leistungsfähig sind solche Geräte natürlich nicht - ein paar Mbit/s bringen die noch, aber viel mehr nicht. (Crypto kostet Performance).

Leistungsfähigeres Zeug/Spezialhardware mit Cryptosupport fängt preislich so ab €300,- an denke ich.

Was spricht gegen einen Router? (edit: der muss ja nicht als Hauptrouter fungieren)
