Hallo ich habe mal eine Frage!

Was ist der Unterschied zu einer Broadcast adresse in einem Netz also z.b. 192.168.255.255 /16.

und der Broadcast adresse 255.255.255.255???

Im ersten Fall sollen nur die Rechner antworten, die von ihren IPs her für das entsprechende Subnet konfiguriert sind. Bei 255.255.255.255 soll alles antworten, was im lokalen Netzwerksegment hängt - ganz egal wie es konfiguriert ist. Anfragen auf 255.255.255.255 werden auf die MAC-Adresse FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF abgebildet, wobei es sich um eine Pseudo-MAC-Adresse handelt, auf die alle Netzwerkkarten reagieren sollen.

Allerdings ist nicht jedes Betriebssystem darauf ausgelegt, Pakete an 255.255.255.255 zu verarbeiten, sodass bei einem Ping manchmal nicht wirklich alles antwortet.
