SUSE 8.0 und HPT370 Raid

Morgen,

mein Prob ist folgendes:

Ich habe einen Dawicontrol IDE Raid Controller mit HighPoint 370 Chipsatz. An diesem hängen 2 Platten im Stripe Modus. Die sind nur für Daten und haben weder für Linux noch für Windows ein wichtige Funktion.

Unter Windows läuft das prima, nur unter Linux erkennt er das raid nicht. Ich habe geforscht und gesehen, dass der raid-support in den Kernel compiliert werden muss, hab aber nur einen patch für SUSE 7.x gefunden. Ich möchte keine Experimente machen und frag lieber mal, ob von euch einer einen HPT370 unter SUSE 8.0 am laufen hat. Bitte helfen ich bin ein Linux-DAU ;)

Oder irgendeinen IDE-Raid. In der Hardware-liste vom Yast sehe ich ATA-Raid aber ich kanns nicht mounten?

Also, ich hab weiter gebastelt und die Unterstützung ist definitv schon im Kernel gewesen, aber ich kann einfach nicht mounten.
