Salve,

mal ne allgemeine frage:

gibts nen Patch fur suse 8.0 um ipchains zu nutzen oder muss ich endgültig auf iptables umsteigen?

Wenn du einen Kernel kompilierst, kannst du einstellen, ob du ipchains oder iptables nutzen willst.

Aber dann kannst du auch nur ipchains verwenden und kein iptables mehr ...

Kann's Dir für SuSE 8.0 nicht bestätigen, bei SuSE 7.3 waren noch Module für ipchains dabei, also alle ip_tables Module rauswerfen und 'insmod ipchains'.

Das Modul ist sicherlich auch noch bei SuSE 8 dabei.

Zum kompilieren: wenn man aus ipchains/iptables Module macht kann man beides nutzen - ohne einen neuen Kernel zu kompilieren (bevor einer mekert: natürlich nicht gleichzeitig).
