Hat jemand eine Ahnung wie es sich realisieren lässt, dass Win-Clients (hauptsächlich Win98) durch einen Socks-Proxy Namen auflösen können?

Denn ein Ping gibt nur eine Zeitüberschreitung zurück? Ich möchte neben dem Pingen auch andere Software benutzen, doch diese Lösen die Namen nicht auf, und ich habe auch keine Einstellung für einen Socks bei der Softweare gefunden?

Du könntest auf den Clients einen Gateway einrichten, und/oder einen DNS Server installieren.
