wie kann ich bei ner Linuxkiste die ich nicht kenne die Distribution + Version rausfinden? Ist bestimm nicht schwer...

uname -r zeigt das kernel relase an, nicht die distri.

cat /etc/issue

geht auf meinem gentoo rechner, aber net auf openbsd.

Wenn ein Webserver dort läuft kannst du es mit dem Kommando s.u. herausfinden:

nmap -sS -p 80 -O -v <host>

Falls es sich um SuSE handelt steht in der Datei /etc/SuSE-release alles drin was man wissen muß...

Sowas in die Richtung gibt's auch bei anderen Distributionen - ein Blick ins /etc-Verzeichnis kann nicht schaden.

uname kenne ich bereits ;-). Aber in /etc/issue habe ich noch "nie" geguckt... *gutzuwissen*
