hallo

ich linux SuSE 8.0. Und wollte ein DHCP server aufsetzten.

Die Programme sind schon installiert. Aber ich finde die konfigurationsdatei

dhcp.conf nicht.

Und wenn ich versuche die dieste /etc/init.d/dhcpd start oder rcdhcpd start zu starten er sagt auch das die datei nicht zu finden ist.

und was macht chroot

Hallo,

Wenn die Datei nicht vorhanden ist, leg sie einfach an und trage die notwendigen Parameter dort ein.

chroot verwendet das angegebene Verzeichnis als Root-Verzeichnis. Für den laufenden Prozess stellt sich dieses Verzeichnis als root dar.

/usr/local/usr

/usr/local/bin

/usr/local/etc

/usr/local/sbin

Verwendest Du bei chroot /usr/local als Argument, sieht der laufende Prozess die dort enthaltenen Verzeichnisse als /usr, /etc, /bin und /sbin.
