wie viel Speicherplatz kann das ext3 format adressieren oder steckt das format keine grenzen ab ?

Hallo,

ext3 unterstützt Files bis zu 2 TB und FileSysteme bis zu 16 TB.

Dummerweise begrenzt der aktuelle 2.4 Kernel auf 32Bit Systemen die

maximale Grösse eines BlockDevices auf 2 TB.

Somit wirst Du auf Deinem PC mit dem 2.4er Kernel und ext3 auch

nur ein 2 TB grosses DateiSystem hinbekommen.

Folglich natürlich auch keine Datei die grösser als 2 TB ist.
