Hallo Linuxfreaks

Ich benutze SUSE 9.0 pro. und habe einen Apache Server mit PHP Modul und MySQL.

Nun möchte ich die Funktion mail() in PHP Scripten lokal testen.

Frage wie richtet man möglichst einfach einen pop3 Dämon ein, so dass man mit KMail mit benutzername@localhost abfragen kann.

Ich habe schon einiges schon gemacht. Inetd mit pop3 und Smtp Service ist schon aktiviert. Verschicken mit KMail geht. Abfragen nicht. Dummiefrage: Und wie richtet man eine POP3 Box ein ? Wie lauten denn die Mail In Server mail.localhost oder nur localhost ? Vielleicht weiss einer wie man das am simpelsten macht. Vielleicht weiss einer eine Dummie Anweisung für die Einrichtung.
