Hallo,

ich habe am Freitag RedHat 9 von South Bridge -> Serial

ATA 80GB HD auf Promise 20378 RAID Controller -> 2 x Serial ATA RAID 1

80GH HD mit den dd of= /dev/sda if=/dev/sdb Befehl kopiert nach dem ich einen Treiber für das Promise Raid installiert hatte.

(insmod ft3xx.o -> Copy this module to /lib/modules/2.4.x/kernel/drivers/scsi/)

Es wurde vom System abgebrochen ist aber da und bootet ganz normal, stürzt aber dann ab.

Kann sein das es nicht funktioniert weil ich was vergessen habe ?

Die Swap Partition wurde nicht komplett kopiert ist das der Fehler oder sind die 2 Byte egal?

Steht irgendwas im Syslog drin? Mit was für einer Meldung stürzt das System ab? Kernel Panic (dann würde CapsLock und ScrollLock blincken)?

Die Swappartition kann man, im unbenutzten Zustand, mit mkswap /dev/sd?? initialisieren. Um die Partition im laufenden Betrieb auszuhängen gibt man swapoff /dev/sd?? ein, um sie wieder einzuhängen swapon /dev/sd??.
