Hallo zusammen,

kurze Frage:

Ist es möglich, ein Raid-Array (Raid 5 bei 6 Platten) über 2 Controller anzusteuern?

Ich möchte damit erreichen, das sich der Datendurchsatz erhöht, da aktuell alle 6 Platten auf einem Kontroller hängen und somit der Kanal wohl ausgelastet ist.

Es sollte nur eine Platte pro Kanal verwendet werden.

auch hier gilt: Jein.

Das liegt am Hersteller der Controller. IMHO kann man das nur machen

wenn man zwie identische Controller hat. Die Controller müssen das dann auch unterstützen (Wie z.B. Mylex und einige Adaptec)

Wenn der Hersteller das implementiert hat, gehts.
