Die Basics finden sich leicht, aber mehr auch nicht.

Ein DMA Controller erlaubt den Daten der Festplatte, den Prozessor zu umgehen und sich direkt in den Arbeitsspeicher zu schreiben.

Das wars dann aber auch schon - ne Menge Fragen bleiben offen, und wie es der Zufall will, muß ich mich (fileservertechnisch) mit diesen Fragen jetzt beschäftigen:
