Was genau hat es mit E-ATX auf sich?

E-ATX ist "Externded ATX", das ist ein Formfaktor der nur bei Serverboards angewendet wird. Meistens sind auf E-ATX-Boards mehrere CPU-Steckplätze für SMP und mehr Speicherslots als bei normalen ATX-Boards, deswegen sind die Boards länger als normale ATX-Boards. Die Höhe ist jedoch gleich, so dass das Backpanel und die Erweiterungsslots eines "normalen" ATX-Boards auch für E-ATX gelten.
