Hi,

ich habe auf einer Linux-Maschine Cyrus installiert.

Die Authentifizierung soll per pam erfolgen.

Alle Deamons laufen soweit, doch wenn ich mich per :

cyradm --user $username --server localhost
anmelden möchte, erhalte ich folgende Meldung : 
cannot authenticate to server with  as $username
Auch folgendes führt nicht zum gewünschten Erfolg : 
cyradm --user $username --server localhost --auth pam

Kommt eine Fehlermeldung zum PAM Modul oder zur Authentifizierung?

Wogegen willst du dich per PAM authentifizieren?

Sagt der Syslog noch etwas?
