S-ATA Platte nur als "ATA100" erkannt

Servus. Habe hier ein anderes Problemchen.

Ne 400GB S-ATA Platte von Maxtor wird vom BIOS nur als ATA-100 erkannt.

Alles was an Laufwerken in dem Rechner ist, ist ein IDE-DVD-Brenner und die Platte.

Weiß jemand was und ob man da im Award-Bios umstellen muss, damit die Platte als "ATA150" oder so ähnlich angesprochen wird?

Chipsatz: Intel 865

Anyway. Habe heute was anderes erfahren was recht plausibel klingt:

Das BIOS spricht die Platte nur der "optik halber" als ATA100 an, damit Windows keine zusätzlichen Treiber benötigt. An der Übertragungsrate von SATA150 würde das nichts ändern.
