Hab gelesen Fedora Core 5 soll ganz gut sein, bzw. laufen. NUn hab ich ne externe Festplatte, verbunden per USB. Nun frag ich mich wie ich das BS auf der USB Platte zum laufen kriegen, bzw davon booten kann.

Hat jemand ne Idee oder Erfahrungen?

Also Booten hängt von deinem BIOS ab, ob Du da das USB-Laufwerk als Bootmedium eintragen kannst. Das würde ich als erstes mal untersuchen. ;)

Installieren is 1:1 wie mit ner normalen Festplatte, Das USB-Laufwerk wird als SCSI-Gerät eindetragen und wenn Du dort reininstallierst ist dein Fedora nachher auch drauf :D
