SCSI Controller nicht erkannt wenn 2tes Gerät angeschlossen

Hallo,

wenn ich zusätzlich zu einer Festplatte einen DVD-Brenner an den SCSI-Controller anschließe, dann wird der Controller gar nicht mehr erkannt.

Die Festplatte hängt an einem schmalen SCSI-Kabel (mit diversen Abgängen) am Controller, welches am Ende terminiert ist. Der Controller dagegen hängt an einem breiteren SCSI-Kabel, welches nur zwei Enden hat. Ich habe bereits versucht den DVD-Brenner mittels Jumper zu terminieren als auch nicht zu terminieren. Beides geht nicht, also der Controller bleibt ignoriert. Wenn ich nur die Platte dran habe, dann wird der Controller erkannt und beim Booten kommt die Meldung der Art "Drücken Sie STRG-A fürs Setup"

Woran kann das liegen?

Also der Controller hat insgesamt vier Ausgänge, 3 intern (2schmale, ein breiter) und einen extern (schmal).
