Moin zusammen,

ich benutze aktuell SuSE 9.0 Professional und hab eine Frage:

Wie wird von der Shell aus ein Drucker angesprochen?

Ausführliche Antworten sind erwünscht ;-)

Wie kann man das allgemein erklären? Ist für eine Art Präsentation gedacht. Die Konsolenbefehle sind klar.

Meinst Du jetzt den Befehl "lpr" oder was hast Du genau vor?

Beispiel:

man lpr | lpr -P <druckername>

Die Ausgabe von "man lpr" wird anstatt auf dem Bildschirm dargestellt zu werden, ueber eine Pipe (Kanal , das |-Zeichen) an dass STDIN (Standard-Input) des 2. lpr-Befehls weitergegeben. Der lpr-Befehl muss standardmäßig vom STDIN lesen damit dieser Befehl in der Form funktioniert.
