ich bin gerade ein wenig am Serversoftware testen mittels Virtueller Maschinen auf einen Core2Duo mit 4 GB RAM.

Wie sieht es mit der Benutzung von mehreren CPUs aus, wenn ich mehrere Gäste (mit jeweils 1 CPU) starte? Cameron Fuller’s T2R2: Virtual PC with Multiple CPU's? spricht von "Virtual Server can leverage multiple CPU’s (although it only allocates a single CPU per Guest operating system). Virtual PC can only use a single CPU split among all of the Guest operating systems."

D.h. es ist normal, dass bei meinen Teste alle virtuellen Maschinen nur einen logischen Kern benutzen, obwohl meine 1 mechanische CPU 2 logische CPUs enthält?

grad mal schnell getestet ..

wenn ich auf meinem athlon64x2 2 virtuelle maschine starte und beide cpu last erzeugen, hab ich relativ gleichmässig eine auslastung auf beiden cores.

dem gast wird aber nur eine cpu angezeigt.
