Photoshop/Illustrator/Quark - adäquater Ersatz?

Hallo zusammen,

nachdem ich jetzt über mehrere Wochen hinweg mich mit Gimp, Scribus, Pages herumgeärgert habe, nun mal meine Frage an euch:

Kennt Ihr WIRKLICH gute Ersatzprogramme für die o.g. Softwareproduke aus dem Freeware / OpenSource Bereich?

Ich arbeite mit Mac OSX 10.5 Intel und suche nun einen guten Ersatz.

Die Software, die ich ausprobiert hatte, war unter OSX sehr langsam und träge und z.B. Gimp stürzte ständig ab. Pages z.B. liefert mir nicht so die Gestaltungsfreiheiten wie ein Quark oder InDesign.

Für die Vollversionen von Adobe und Co. habe ich definitv nicht das Geld und mit der Elements-Version von Phtoshop hätte ich leider noch keinen Ersatz für die Vektor und DTP Ecke gefunden.

Windows als Alternative ist für mich nur absoluter Notfall, ich würde es am liebsten unter OSX laufen lassen wollen.
