Ich habe einen XAMPP Server laufen. Auf diesem Server gibt es einmal das Intranet und einmal ein Forum.

Ich habe einen DNS-Eintrag "Intranet" auf unserem DNS-Server (Windows Server 2000) gestetzt. Funktioniert prima.

Dieser DNS Eintrag zeigt einfach auf die IP des XAMPP-Servers und ich habe die index.php von XAMPP so umfunktioniert, dass sie direkt das Intranet aufmacht.

Ich möchte jetzt aber zusätzlich einen DNS-Eintrag setzten "Forum". Dieser soll dann z.B. auf die URL "XAMPP-Server\htdocs\forum\index.php" zeigen. Geht das?

Wozu braucht es da einen zweiten DNS-Eintrag? Das Forum ist doch unter http://XAMPP-Server/forum/ zu erreichen.

Er will aber wahrscheinlich nur http://forum eingeben und direkt auf dem Forum landen. Deshalb ist ein virtueller Host notwendig.
