hallo,

ich habe mir vor kurzem mysql version 5.1.54 für windows runtergeladen. bei der installation wird bei einem schritt nach meinen alten root passwort und dass ich ein neues setzen soll. ich habe nun dort das password eingegeben mit dem ich mich auf meinen rechner anmelde (ich bin unter windows vista). ist das richtig ?

falls ja bekomm ich eine fehlermeldeung 1045: Access denied for user 'maier'@'localhost'(using password: YES). was ist das zu tun ???

Wie er fragt dich nach dem alten root Passwort?

Hast Du ein Update oder eine Neuinstallation durchgeführt?

Oder anders gefragt. War schon mal MySQL auf dem Rechner installiert?

Zu der Fehlermeldung. Einen User maier mit dem von dir eingebenen Passwort existiert nicht in der MySQL Benutzerverwaltung. Diese hat NICHTS mit der Windows Benutzerverwaltung zu tun.
