Die Frage ist doch was man administrieren will.

PCs? Fileserver? DB-Server? Mainframes? Unter welchem OS?

Je nach dem zu bearbeitenden "Material" des Handwerkers richtet sich ja auch dessen Werkzeug oder kurz gesagt:
