Hallo!

Ich habe in Java bei JDBC folgendes Problem:

Wenn ich bei meiner Datenbankanbindung ein SQL Statement mit insert into rauschreibe, wie und dabei automatisch in der SQL Datenbank eine fortlaufende Nummer erhöht wird, wie bekomme ich diese Nummer heraus? Muß ich erneut mit einem Query abfragen?

z.b. Ich habe tabelle mit ID, vorname, zuname,

Ich mache ein insert into tabelle (vorname,zuname) values ("Max", "Mustermann");

Die ID ist eine fortlaufende nummer, mein Primary Key. Wie bekomme ich meine ID vom soeben angelegten Datensatz?

Abfragen kann ich dabei nicht, weil es natürlich sein kann, daß zwei Personen den gleichen Namen haben.
