Ich habe letztens einen alten Pentium von einem Freund erstanden und möchte darauf jetzt Linux installieren.

Kann mir jemand eine Distribution empfehlen ?

Ich hate mal an Mandrake gedacht.

Hat damit jemand Erfahrungen ?

kommt drauf an was du damit vorhast....

Du kannst doch alle mal durchprobieren, ist unterschiedlich der eine mag RedHat andere wiederum Mandrake.....geschmackssache ;)

Für Neueinsteiger würde ich die SuSE empfehlen. Die ist komplett dokumentiert, hat sehr gute und ausführliche Bücher dabei, eben alles was ein Einsteiger braucht.

Bei RedHad, Mandrake usw. vermisse ich persönlich die Doku... - brauche die zwar nicht mehr aber für Einsteiger finde ich das einfach dappig :P
