d steht für directory ( ist ein Verzeichnis )

anstatt ls -l zu schreiben kannst du auch:

Das hängt von der verwendeten Distribution ab. Diese beiden 'Befehle' sind nur Aliase,

die /bin/ls mit den entsprechenden Optionen aufrufen.
