Guten morgen!

wir haben da ein klitzekleines problem.

folgendes...

derzeit wird ein backup über einen rechner mit NT4.0 gefahren...und zwar über DOS.

Dieses backup-verfahren soll aber auch auf einem w2k-server ablaufen, geht aber nicht.

so...nun soll es ein tool oder eine datei geben, die dem system vorgaukelt NT 4.0 zu sein.

diese/s tool/datei soll apcompat.exe heissen...

kennt das jemand????

Klar kennt das jemand.

Das ist auf jeder XP CD mit drauf.

Entweder als ausführbare Datei oder in einem der CAB Archive.

Mit dem Tool kann sich XP so verhalten, als wäre es NT, 95 oder 2000.

Allerdings fallen nicht alle Programme auf diesen Trick rein.
