hey kollegen,

ich suche eine gute X server software für win xp, wenns geht sollte die free sein.

Hatte schon mal die trial version von hummingbird, das ist schon klasse, aber leider nicht free.

Könnt ihr mir da evt. was empfehlen?

ach cygwin hab ich schon, vielleicht habt ihr noch andere vorschläge?!

Statt Cygwin zu installieren, kannst Du auch die XLiveCD (http://xlivecd.indiana.edu/) ausprobieren. Richtig gute und dabei kostenlose X-Server für Windows sind mir sonst allerdings auch nicht bekannt. Eine weitere Möglichkeit wäre ein Debian in einer VMWare oder Virtual PC Umgebung, falls man VMWare oder Virtual PC besitzt.
