Hallo,

wie kann ich Suse 9.3 ohne grafisches System dazu bringen die Auflösung, Frequenz,.... einzustellen?

Beim Booten des grafischen Systems kommt nämlich am Monitor "out of range". Im Failsafemodus gibts ja nur Kommandozeile.

Kann mir jemand helfen?

Du must die Konfigurationsdatei deines X-Servers etwas bearbeiten.

Normalerweise ist das die xorg.conf bzw. XFree86. Wo SuSe die Einstellungen vornimmt, kann ich dir jetzt nicht sagen. Es gibt bestimmt auch Möglichkeiten die Einstellungen mittels Yast vorzunehmen (auch aus der Konsole).

Ansonsten gibt es noch die Programme xorgcfg und xorgconfig (analog für XFree86) zum Einstellen des Monitors.

oder du editierst die datei /etc/X11/XF86config per hand

oder schonmal sax2 unter SuSE getestet?
