Hallo.

Ich möchte die Logfiles vom Apache2 (Debian 3.1) rotieren und habe da einige Fragen:

In /etc/logrotate.d existiert die Datei apache2.

1. Wie wird die Aufgerufen? Per Crontab wenn die Rotation beginnen soll?

2. Wie muss ich diese Datei modifizieren wenn die Logfiles jeden Montag Morgen um 03:00 Uhr rotiert werden sollen?

Irgendwie finde ich noch keinen Zugang zum logrotate. Gibt es irgendwo ein Manual das die Anweisungen in der Datei (missingok, rotate 52, compress...) erklärt?

Hi,

1. ja, normalerweise wird das per cron aufgerufen. Bei mir liegts unter /etc/cron.daily/logrotate.cron.

2. Dann musst du z. B. mal hier nachschauen, wie man das in die Crontab einträgt.

Ansonsten hilft "man logrotate". Dort findest du alle Infos die du benötigst.
