hallo,

hab schon den ganzen tag gegoogelt aber kein vmware image gefunden,

das ohne Grafische Oberfläche ist also ohne zb. KDE.

Wer kann mir da weiterhelfen?

ähm, in runlevel 3 sind alle mir bekannten linuxe ohne GUI

Runlevel - Wikipedia "3 Netzwerkbetrieb, über das Netzwerk erreichbare Ressourcen sind nutzbar, eine grafische Oberfläche steht nicht zur Verfügung. Firewalls sollten aktiviert werden."

Warum überhaupt die Anforderungen "ohne GUI"?

debian 4.0 ziehen, rcconf installieren, "gdm" deaktivieren.

Wenn man schon Debian oder ähnliches zieht, dann doch einfach nur die netinstall.iso. Hat nur süße 120 MB ca. und installiert wirklich nur das Wichtigste. Was man dann noch braucht, holt man sich per apt-get nach. Schlanker gehts nimmer ;)
