Guten Abend,

viele Provider haben bzw. stellen bald auf SSL beim E-Mail Verkehr um. Jetzt meine Frage:

Wie funktioniert das beim Exchange 2010, 2008 Server.

Es wird Exchange und Popcon benutzt.

Was muss ich einstellen damit der Exchange nur noch über SSL geht.

Ich denke mal du meinst StartTLS?

Weil dein Exchange hat sicherlich ein funktionierendes SSL Zertifikat. Bzw. wenn du dich nicht darum gekümmert hast, läuft der Exchange mit einem selbstsignierten. Müsstest du dann aber schon mitbekommen haben, durch die vielen Warnmeldungen z.B. bei Outlook.

Der Exchange kann imho ohne ein Zutun von Hause aus StartTLS im opportunistic mode.

Sicherer ist natürlich der mandatory mode, aber da müsste man mal Google fragen.

Ich bevorzuge eigentlich immer opportunistic. Historisch gewachsen, durch das Unvermögen von gmx, web.de etc. überhaupt kein StartTLS anzubieten. OK seit ein paar Monaten können die den alten Standard auch endlch.
