Linux-Live-CD komplett selber bauen

Hallo

Aus "Spass an der Freude" würde ich gern mal eine Linux-Live-CD komplett (!) selber bauen, also kein angepasstes OpenSuSe/Centos.

Beispiel: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lfs-livecd/

Als Umgebung für das Bauen (also Compiler) stelle ich mir OpenSuse oder Centos vor (oder eben o.a. Live-CD), innerhalb einer VMware Workstation mit viel RAM und sehr flotter SSD.

Ergebnis sollte sein: eine bootfähige ISO, gern mit schlanker grafischer Oberfläche, falls aber nur Textmodus erstmal: auch okay, mir gehts um die Lernkurve bis dahin.

Es gibt aktuell keine "offizielle" Live-CD für LFS, selbst o.a. ist eine Generation zurück.

LFS liefert ausserdem ein bootfähiges System, nicht eine Boot-CD.
