Kein Problem. Aber vor ich 20 seiten text schreiben, sag ich nur folgendes.... Wann du in ein Konsole die kommando als root angemeldet.... ipchains -L -n -v |less eingeben, dann bekommst du was zu sehen das interesant ist. Aber um das zu verstehen muss du erst ein wienig nach buffeln... Lesen.... Sorry for my bad german... Ich sage nur du solltest eine blick wurfen unter www.linux.org. Da unter Documentation findest du ein echt super erklärung zu ipchains und wie du damit umgehest. Das stimmt das die docu fehlt in diesem bereich aber das FAS Programm wurde entwickelt um diese sache eben zu erledigen nur per knopfdruck und damit der Firewall Administrator sein job zu erleichtern. Ich muss auch sagen ( bitte nich böse sein ) das die leute die das Produkt kaufen weiss genau was die IP Tabels und IP Chains tun und wie das alles verändert. Die leute sind meistens mit jahre lang erfahrung mit linux und Firewalling beschäftigt. Aber das ist auch kein positive antwort für dich... Ich habe mit 0+nix angefangen und 5 jahre später bin ich entwickler... Du muss viel zeit nehmen mit der leserei. Ein echt Super Buch von Oreilly Verlag die heisst "Firewalls" ist echt ein tolle stück und gibts auch in Deutsch...Ich weiss da fehlt viele antworten für dich aber... Maybe it helps a little.... Also... Wann ich behilflich sein kann, mach ich das gern. Bitte meine Schreibfehlern überschauen da ich Ami bin (Born in the USA!!). Da ich entwickel den SuSE Firewall Live CD selber ( bzw mit anderer Kolliegen hier bei SuSE), möchte ich gern wissen wo Docu bzw. Verständigungs probleme sind... Die Firewall Live CD mit den FAS ist echt ein Brett... Da kleine Docu Probleme auftreten bedeutet nicht das der Firewall nicht geht. Drei mal Installiert und drei mal anderst gibts nicht. Das heisst drei mal installiert, dreimal geändert und drei mal ein anderer Ergebniss.... Wann ich helfen kann tu ich...Sag bescheid..:confused:

You said you want to Masqurade?? Not a good idea. Its only good for the people who only want to surf or check e-mail. Its too long to explain here. Masqurading works with ALMOST everything but is not secure. Even some websides are not reachable with masqurading... Use a squid proxy with nothing else... The linux How-To's are great and explain everything in detail...Have fun!!

Linux does not support this modem because it needs special drivers that come from ELSA. Sorry!!

opera is the one...It uses fewer resources so it runs a little faster. If you use netscape than stay with the 4.77. Its easier for someone who is a beginner and needs to deal with plug-ins. Have fun!!

When you installed your 7.2, you choose to boot from diskett and not with help from the lilo boot manager. You can easly fix it by booting your system with your boot diskett. After the system is running, change to a console and run your yast and reconfigure your lilo... Takes about 5 minuites... Have fun <FONT COLOR="#a62a2a" SIZE="1">[ 05. The answer with the broken file was kind of right... I fixed the problem with copying the Gapi32.dll from WIN'98 and not WIN NT into that file...CRAZY!!! Then suddenly everything worked!! well...It works now...Thanx!!

As a SuSE Employee, All i can say is 7.1 or 7.2... Forget about borrowing or downloading...Just go out and buy the box set... The prof. Version only costs 100.-. Im not saying this because im a Linux employee, but because the books and info that comes with the box set is really good... If you are looking for online documentation, then go to www.linux.org....That is the best spot for hard How-to's.
