Guten Morgen,

heute kam über unser WSUS Update Service ein zu genehmigendes Update.

"Mircosoft Silverlight" - Ist das eine Sinnvolle Sache?

Soweit ich weiß ist das ein Browser-Plug-In jedoch habe ich die befürchtung das dadurch irgendwelchen "tollen" Toolbars oder ähnliches in unserm Netzwerk verteilt werden.

Ich würde gerne eine kleine Stellungnahme von euch dazu hören. Verteilt ihr Silverlight in euerm Netz?

Durch die Installation des Silverlight-Plugins wird keine Toolbar o.ä. installiert. Silverlight ist Konkurrenz zu u.a. Java, so dass das ziemlich gleich zu behandeln ist.

Wenn Silverlight nicht unbedingt für irgendwelche Lieferanten, Kunden oder sonstwas benötigt wird, ist das meiner Meinung nach ein überflüssiges Plugin im Firmennetz.
