Hallo,

kann mir jemand von euch sagen ob ich RMON richtig verstanden habe?

RMON wird aus Sicht der SNMP Manager als Agent gesehen, RMON sammelt Daten und bereitet diese auf.

Was sollte man noch zu RMON wissen? Auch im Hinblick auf die Prüfungen?

RMON ist eine Erweiterung von SNMP, indem die MIBII erweitert wird um zusätzliche Abfragemöglichkeiten (z.B. Auslastung eines Netzwerkinterfaces).

Es läuft also ein SNMP-Agent auf einem Gerät (z.B. Router) und es wird nur ein Wert der MIB anhand einer OID abgefragt (OID der erweiterten MIBII).
