Ich habe gesehen eine Firma mit verschiedenen Standorten, welche alle ihre Standorten eine gleiche Vorwahlnummer haben.

Z.B. Die Firma hat in Frankfurt,Mainz und Berlin Standort und alle haben Vorwahl von Mainz also 06131.

Wie hat das Funktioniert?

Ein SIP-Trunk und eine passende VOIP-Infrastruktur im Background...

Es muss noch nicht mal ein SIP-Trunk sein, das ginge z.B. auch mit einer Telefonanlage an einem ISDN-Anschluss in Mainz, wo sich dann VoIP-Clients aus Frankfurt und Berlin anmelden. Es kann aber auch eine VoIP-Telefonanlage in der "Cloud", wo sich alle Clients aus allen Standorten anmelden und eine Vorwahl erhalten haben. Das zweite ist allerdings "nur" ein spezieller Fall der allgemeinen Beschreibung, die @Chief Wiggumgegeben hat.
