Probleme mit externer Festplatte (war: Backup)

Hallo,

ich wollt meine Daten auf einer externen Festplatte speichern allerdings stürtzt die Festplatte, wo die Daten gespeichert werden sollen, immerwieder ab.

Woran kann das liegen?

Brauche ich dafür eine Backup Software?

2. Ein bißchen wenig Informationen - willst Du einfach ein paar Dateien auf eine externe Festplatte schieben oder das System komplett sichern? Was ist das überhaupt für eine externe Platte (Bezeichnung, Anschluss über USB/Firewire/eSATA)? Wie drückt sich das aus dass die Platte "abstürzt"? Hast Du die Platte schon mal an einem anderen Rechner getestet?

hat sich eigentlich schon erledigt! Hab die Festplatte jetzt in den Tower eingebaut und kann die Daten jetzt ohne Probleme sichern!
