Ich bin gerade nicht zu Hause und kann die smb.conf nicht liefern, brauch aber die Antwort. Also auf das Verzeichnis, das ich frei gegeben habe, habe ich als lokaler user alle Zugriffsrechte, bin Besitzer und habe alles, was man so brauch. Die Freigabe ist nicht auf readonly gesetzt.

Hab die samba.conf gerade nicht zur Hand, kann nur so viel sagen:
Habe einen Sinnlos2000 Workstation Rechner und eine SuSE Linux 7.3 Rechner, der eine Freigabe namens "Daten" hat.
In der globalen Sektion sind die verschlüsselten Passwörter aktiviert, die Sicherheit steht auf "User". Samba-Rechner findet sich in der Netzwerkumgebung und lässt sich auch durchsuchen.
Ansonsten ist in der Freigabe der create mode = 0700 und der directory mode = 0700 für denjenigen Benutzer, der im Linux-System ein lokales Konto hat, sowie ein Samba-Konto (meine, dass ich mit 'smbpasswd -a' einen neuen Samba-User angelegt habe). Somit brauche ich ja rein von der Freigabe her nichts weiter einzustellen. Bewirkt ja auch, dass das Browsen schön funktioniert. Nur kann ich eben keine neuen Ordner, Dateien anlegen, nichts verschieben und nichts löschen - also keinerlei Schreibrechte. Sinnlos2000 bringt dann auch immer schön seinen Fehlerdialog mit der Meldung, dass ich eben nicht genügend Netzwerkrechte besitze, um das gerade beschriebene zu tun.
Ich habe auch schon jemanden konsultiert und der wiederum meinte, dass wenn ich nur eine Workstation habe von Sinnlos2000, man auf jeden Fall weitere Einstellungen vornehmen muss, damit ich besagte Einschränkungen aufheben kann.
Bloß wie funktioniert das ?

Habe da das Problem, dass ich eine Samba-Freigabe von Linux in der Netzwerkumgebung von Sinnlos 2000 zwar sehe, aber nichts verschieben, löschen oder neu erstellen kann...
Weiß jemand, woher dies kommt ?

Naja, aber den kostenlosen Key gibt es ja schließlich im Internet unter www.vmware.com/suse. Dort kann man sich dann registieren lassen (Man muss zwar 'nen halben Seelenstrip hinlegen... - aber wo muss man das nicht heutzutage?).
Die schicken einem dann den Lizenzschlüssel zu.
