Hallo zusammen,

wir sind gerade dabei unsere Arbeitsplatzdrucker zu tauschen und bei HP gelandet. Ab Werk ist auf den Geräten jeder Mist aktiviert und will alles abstellen was ich zwingend brauche.

Dabei bin ich über "eFCL" gestolpert, im Handbuch finde ich nichts, Google schickt mich zum Fußball und auf "Try and Error" hab ich wenig Lust.

Hier mal ein Screenshot vom Webinterface, in dem Fall handelt es sich um einen HP LaserJet MFP M426fdn, das Webinterface schaut aber bis auf Kleinigkeiten bei allen HPs ähnlich aus.

Was könnte eFCL sein?

 

das ist irgendeine kaum dokumentierte Einstellung für den Faxbetrieb. Würde ich blind rausnehmen ....

Es gibt nen Hinweis auf eine Firmware, bei der diese Einstellung für Geräte ohne Faxfunktion aus den Netzwerkeinstellungen entfernt wurde ... ergo irgendwas proprieräres für sicheres Faxen

Habe da was im Netz gefunden vielleicht hilft das weiter

It looks like the security feature isn't that important as the fix seems to remove it once the update is installed,

I don't believe we need to research or spend time understanding the feature given the circumstances.

Es scheint sich also um ein Security Feature für das Faxen zu handeln, welches später durch ein Update removed wurde. Laut HP Support wird dieses Feature nicht mehr benötigt bzw. ist nicht mehr so wichtig

Super, dann nehm ich das, und AutoIP noch raus, dann sollte das passen.
